The public research university in Ontario has opened a search for a full-time Ombudsperson. The position is expected to establish and manage an office to serve approximately 40,000 students following ACCUO standards of practice and reporting to the University Secretary. UWaterloo conducted a similar and ultimately unsuccessful search in November 2023.

The requirements for the position and compensation range are higher than the search last year. Applicants must have a relevant degree, mediation or conflict resolution training, and eight to ten years of professional experience. A Master's or professional degree, FCO membership, and Ombuds experience are preferred. The position is expected to pay $127,127 to $158,909 CDN per year. No application deadline indicated.
