Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Ombuds Retires

Cottrell Webster, who has served as the Ombudsman for the FDIC since 2002, retired last week. Gordon Talbot, an Associate Ombudsman, will serve as Acting FDIC Ombudsman pending a search for a a permanent replacement. 

Talbot has been with the FDIC Office of the Ombudsman since in 2007.  He is a Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioner and has served on the IOA Board of Certification.  The FDIC Office of the Ombudsman is a confidential, neutral, and independent source of information and assistance to anyone affected by the FDIC in its regulatory, resolution, receivership, or asset disposition activities.  (FDIC Press Release.)
