The private university in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida has awarded the James O. Elmore Scholarship to PhD candidate Alicia Booker for work on the Administrative Conference of the United States research project “Ombudsman in Federal Agencies: Programs and Practices” and the IOA Remuneration Surveys.
According to a news item from her alma mater, Southern Methodist University, Booker's "dissertation and research focus on the study of conflict analysis in corporate and academic settings." Earlier this year, she contributed an article the ABA DRS Just Resolutions newsletter on the Freedom of Information Act and dispute resolution. Booker earned her BA and an MA in dispute resolution from SMU. (SMU Magazine.)
