The World Bank Group has opened a search for an Ombuds. The position is based in Washington, DC but is expected to travel regularly to other WBG offices.
The appointment is for a five-year term, which may be renewed for an additional five-year term.
The search is expected to fill the position held by Thomas Zgambo since 2007. The position will work with two other WBG Ombuds, Penelope Brook in Washington and David Talbot in Bangkok.
Applicants must have at least fifteen years of successful professional experience including a minimum of seven years an ombudsman (managerial experience is highly desired) and excellent presentation and written communication skills in English (fluency in other working languages of the WBG is highly desirable).
