IOA Webinar: The Ombuds' Annual Report

The International Ombudsman Association will offer a webinar titled, "Leveraging Your Annual Report to Validate Your Office and Create Sustainability!" on Thursday, December 8, at 11:00 - 12:30 p.m. Central Time.  Karey Barnes, the former Student Ombudsperson and now Director of the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities at South Texas College will explain how to maximize the impact of an Ombuds report.

Providing a clear and concise briefing is essential to keeping your audience’s attention. Being able to leverage your annual report is vital to the function of ombuds. Additionally, it allows you to provide upward feedback to executives in your organization and offers opportunities to create sustainability and growth for your office. Leveraging your annual report constructively can be the difference between sustainability and growth or shuttering your office. 

This webinar will explore formatting your annual report, expectations for the report, how to add value to your organization once you have annualized your data, and how to incorporate this information into your strategic planning to ensure sufficient staffing and funding for future growth.
