Kennesaw State to Host Ombuds Professional Development in June

Kennesaw State University will host a two-day Ombuds workshop in Savannah on June 4-4, 2020. Based on feedback from last year's participants, organizers have developed an agenda with experienced Ombuds professionals delivering each session:

  1. Strategies for Raising Concerns about Abrasive Behavior in Organizations led by Kirsi Aulin, University of Colorado at Boulder;
  2. Demystifying Ombuds Work by Presenting Data for Impact led by Lisa Yamagata-Lynch, University of Tennessee at Knoxville;
  3. The 2020 Survey: Insights and Implications for Contemporary Practice led by Jennifer Schneider, Univ. of South Florida & Timothy Hedeen, Kennesaw State University; and
  4. A cooperatively-designed "unconference" for participants to engage around their most pressing topics and interests.
Information is now online and registration is open. Inquiries about these logistics may be directed to Ellen Lahtinen at elahtine [at] kennesaw [dot] edu or 470-578-6115. (Note from organizers: "We are of course monitoring public health communications, and will notify registrants of any changes promptly!") (KSU Trainings.)
