The worldwide situation regarding the coronavirus outbreak is obviously a source of concern for all of us. At the time of writing we are continuing with our planning for the Athens conference. We will be in touch later this month with those who have kindly offered to deliver sessions at the conference, and will be issuing a final programme for the conference as soon as speakers have been confirmed.
Please continue with your plans in the expectation that the conference will go ahead as scheduled in May. We would advise you, however, to check your travel insurance etc. before incurring any non-refundable expenditures in the event of cancellation of the conference.
You will appreciate that there are many uncertainties about the situation. Our hosts in Athens are preparing for ENOHE as is the Conference Planning Committee, but we will all need to take advice from our own institutions over the weeks ahead, and indeed travel restrictions may be imposed in some countries. If it does become necessary to cancel or postpone the conference we will of course let ENOHE members know without delay.
Kind regards,
Josef Leidenfrost, ENOHE President
Jean Grier, ENOHE Vice-President
