Students at University of Ottawa Reject Budget Increase for Ombuds

Despite robust growth in its caseload, a referendum to increase funding for the U of O Ombuds Office failed last week. The proposed levy would have increased student fees from from $1.06 to $1.50 per semester. The referendum failed, with 57.5 per cent of voters against the increase. (The Fulcrum.)
