The Office of the UN Ombudsman and Mediation Services is hiring a temporary Conflict Resolution Officer in Bamako. The position will provide Ombuds and conflict resolution services to UN staff in the region, especially the Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) and the broader region of West Africa. The position reports to the Regional Ombudsman, Youssoupha Niang. The appointment will end June 30, 2021.
Applicants must have advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in a relevant area or equivalent experience. Experience in alternate dispute resolution, UN work experience, and field missions are desirable. For this post, English and French fluency are required. Applications are due January 11, 2021.
