Georgetown University Appoints First Student Ombuds
Today, Daniela Brancaforte starts work as the Student Ombudsperson at Georgetown University. In this new position, she will serve as a resource for about 7,500 undergraduate students at the private university following IOA standards. She joins Main Campus Faculty Ombuds Officer, Catherine Langlois, CO-OP, School of Medicine Ombudsperson, Stacey Kaltman, and an (unnamed) Graduate Student Ombuds Officer.
Brancaforte has been at Georgetown University since 2014 and will continue as the Senior Assistant Dean and Director of Strategic Initiatives & Interdisciplinary Programs at Georgetown’s School of Business. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College and earned a PhD at Princeton University. She has also studied extensively in Europe and Latin America, and speaks Spanish, German, and Italian.
