The public school system in Western Michigan is hiring its first Ombudsperson. Reporting to the superintendent, the GRPS Ombuds will serve district employees, 14,500 students, and community members following IOA standards.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (or commensurate experience) and at least three years of job-related experience. The position pays $132,600 to $173,013 per year. No application deadline indicated. (GRPS Posting.)
No university ombuds position should be paying less than this, and university ombuds who do earn less can use salary numbers like this to boost their own compensation.
