Colorado State University Selects an Ombuds

Matt Ricke has been hired as a full-time Ombuds for CSU in Colorado Springs. The appointment expands the Office of the Ombuds headed by University Ombuds Director, Melissa Emerson. The part-time Faculty Ombuds, Kathy Rickard, is no longer with the office.

Ricke comes to the position from the University of Northern Colorado, where they were the Title IX Coordinator & Equity Officer since May 2023. Ricke has worked in higher education for two decades in residential life, student affairs, and Title IX, including positions at the University of Central Florida, Front Range Community College, Naropa University, and Ohio University. They graduated from Western Michigan University and earned an MS at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and PhD at the University of Northern Colorado. (LinkedIn.)
