Illinois State University Appoints First, Full-Time Ombuds
After an extended national search that began in November 2023, Reginald Georgia has been selected as the first full-time Ombudsperson for the large public university in Central Illinois. He will replace three collateral duty Ombuds who have served since about 2010. Georgia will serve nearly 30,000 faculty, staff, and students on the urban campus and starts December 1, 2024.
Georgia comes to Illinois State from BRC Solutions, LLC, where he has worked as principal consultant since 2020. In addition, he brings higher education administration and teaching experience. Georgia graduated from Illinois State University and earned an MEd from Purdue University Northwest. He also completed a certificate in conflict resolution at Cornell University. (ISU News.)
