Tak has worked at Gallaudet since 2013 and joined the Ombuds office in 2021 as an Ombuds Facilitator. She is also a member of the faculty in the Departments of Counseling and Psychology. She has been an advocate and counsellor for deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind individuals for over two decades. Tak earned a Bachelor's and Master's at Gallaudet.
Meyer has been the Associate Ombuds at the Rochester Institute of Technology since 2019. She has worked at RIT for 13 years, prior to the Ombuds Office, she was in Residence Life and Academic Advising. Ashley graduated from Lycoming College and earned an MBA from RIT.
Barron is a third-year doctoral student at Texas State University and a Strategic Support Specialist with the National Deaf Center. She brings a decade of experience as a DEI expert and counselor in a range of deaf educational organizations. She earned her BA in sociology and MA from Gallaudet University.
Schneider has been the Student Ombuds at the University of South Florida since 2015. Her career started as a teacher after she earning a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education from Flagler College. Prior to becoming an Ombuds, she worked for 15 years in a variety of administrative positions in Florida universities. She earned her MA and PhD from the University of South Florida.
