International Political Science Association Names First Conference Ombuds

Francesca Longo and Min Hee Go have been appointed as Ombudspersons for the 2025 IPSA World Congress. In this new role, they will provide Organizational Ombuds to members and attendees before and during the conference in Seoul on July 12-16, 2025. According to IPSA, the new Ombuds are part of an effort to support IPSA’s Anti-Harassment Policy. They will be "receiving and addressing complaints, issuing notices for policy violations, conducting confidential investigations with input from all parties involved, and recommending resolutions to the IPSA Executive Committee."

Francesca Longo is a Professor at the University of Catania, where she also serves as Vice-Rector for International Relations and as coordinator of a Master's program. She is a Past President of the Italian Political Science Association and member of the Editorial Board of the “Peace Human Rights Governance Journal.” Longo earned her PhD from the University of Padua. 

Min Hee Go is an Associate Professor at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea. Previously, she was on the faculty at Brooklyn College CUNY. Her current research is examining gender inequality in East Asia. Go earned her PhD from the University of Chicago. (IPSA News.)
