The Office of the United Nations Ombudsman and Mediation Services (UNOMS) is seeking a consultant for conflict resolution. The fully-remote position will report to the Regional Ombudsman in New York and provide Ombuds services to UN employees for an expected period of nine months.

Applicants must have advanced university degree in a relevant area (or the equivalent combination of education and experience), seven years of relevant experience, fluency in English and Spanish, and training or experience in conflict resolution. They are accessible to a defined population and can advocate for fairness. These unique characteristics distinguish Organizational Ombuds from Classical Ombuds, mediators, arbitrators, and other alternative dispute resolution professionals.
