After years of effort and two national searches, the private liberal arts college in Claremont, CA has hired Conchita Franco Serri as its first Ombudsperson. Serri, who recently attended the IOA annual conference, will begin work May 7.

For the past 12 years, Serri has served as an HR consultant and trainer. Previously, she was the Senior Employee and Labor Relations Specialist at Stanford University Medical Center and Director of Affirmative Action at Santa Clara University. Serri earned her BA in psychology from Universidad de Puerto Rico, a EdM from Harvard University, and a JD from Boston College Law School. A native of Puerto Rico, she is bilingual in English and Spanish. (Pomona Student Life; LinkedIn.)
