World Bank Appoints a Third Ombuds

David W. Talbot has been appointed as the newest Ombudsman for the World Bank Group. Talbot will spend a year in Washington, DC and then move to Bangkok, Thailand to set up the first WBG Conflict Resolution System Office outside of the bank's headquarters.

Since 2003, Talbot has served as an Ombudsman for the Coca-Cola Company, where he has served as Ombudsman. He has more than 14 years of experience in conflict resolution, including a stint as the Program Manager of Community Mediation Services in Vancouver, Washington. Talbot is a past member of the IOA Board of Directors helped develop the Ombuds 101 program. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Pepperdine University School of Law.
