Michael Jud is the new Ombuds for UBC's Okanagan. The office, part of the UBC Ombuds Office headed by Shirley Nakata, operated from 2016-2016 and was closed for financial reasons. Jud joined the office in late 2017.
Jud graduated from the University of Toronto, where he also earned an MA in East Asian Studies. He recently earned his JD from UBC’s School of Law. His work experience includes a stint with Citizenship and Immigration Canada at the Canadian Embassy to China in Beijing. (UBC Ombuds.)
