Job Posting: Life Chiropractic College West

The private chiropractic school in Hayward, California is hiring its first Ombuds (unfortunately and unsearchably listed as "Omsbuds"). The part-time position (six to ten hours weekly) reports to the president and serves only employees of the college. The work generally conforms to best practices, with two significant exceptions: "The Ombuds has decision-making authority to resolve an issue before it raises to the level of a formal dispute that requires disciplinary consideration"; and "The only exceptions to confidentiality occur when it is believed by the Ombuds that disclosure is necessary to address an imminent risk of serious harm to any individual or if an issue or concern breaches a state, federal or jurisdictional law or college disciplinary policy (e.g. sexual assault, records fraud, stealing, etc.)."
