Job Posting (RFP): United States Institute of Peace

The federal institution that promotes conflict resolution and prevention worldwide seeks an independent contractor or firm to serve as an Organizational Ombuds. The USIP Ombuds will work with 300 Institute staff as an independent, impartial, confidential, and information conflict management practitioner. The position is expected to be carried out remotely, with some reimbursable travel to USIP headquarters in Washington, DC. 

Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience and at least 5 years of relevant work experience. Preferred qualifications include: a Masters or PhD; At least 10 years of relevant work experience; Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP) certified (or similar); Experience working at an international organization with offices outside the U.S.; and Ability to converse in French, Spanish, Arabic, and/or Burmese. This is expected to be a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract. Contractor will receive a flat monthly fee for services provided, plus reimbursement for any travel undertaken under the scope of the contract.
