University of Cincinnati Adds an Ombuds

Jivanto P. van Hemert has joined the UC Ombuds Office as an Associate Ombuds, reporting to Kim Fulbright. He replaces Michael Brochu, who moved to Louisiana State University. Van Hemert comes to the position from Ohio University, where he was Director of Case Management and Covid Response Operations. He has held a variety of other administrative positions, including stints at University of Dayton, Brown University, and Salve Regina University. Van Hemert earned his Bachelors and MBA at Salve Regina, and an MEd at Ohio University. (UC Ombuds; LinkedIn.)
