New Ombuds to Restore Program at University of Denver

Betty Iglesias Snyder is the new Ombuds for DU, the private university in Colorado. In this part-time position reporting to the chancellor, Snyder is reviving a program shuttered for three years following the retirement of its founding Ombuds, Jenna Brown. As Ombuds, Snyder serves over 16,000 faculty, staff, and students and practices to IOA standards.

Snder brings two decades of experince as a consultant providing training, coaching and consultation, mediation, facilitation, and intervention services across a broad range of industries. She has also held a range of positions in higher education, including as an adjunct instructor at Southern Methodist University, Libscomb University, and the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. She graduated from Southern Methodist University and earned an MA and PsyD at the California School of Professional Psychology. (LinkedIn; DU Directory.)
