University of Colorado Denver Names Associate Ombuds

Lisa Nelson has been hired as the Associate Director of the University of Colorado Denver|Anschutz Ombuds Office. She joins Ombuds Director Melissa Connell and will provide services to faculty, staff, students, and trainees at CU Denver and its Anschutz Medical Campus.

Nelson comes to the position from CU Boulder, where she was a Principal Training and Development Specialist. Nelson was an Associate Ombuds at the University of California, Davis in 2018 and has three decades of experience as a mediator and facilitator for the City of Boulder. She spoke at the IOA conference in 2016 and the ABA Dispute Resolution Section conference earlier this year. Nelson graduated from Northwestern University and earned her her JD at the University of Colorado Boulder. (LinkedIn.)
