- "document the reasons behind the student complaint";
- "Maintain historical reports ... of complaints ... by department";
- "Work closely with legal and compliance departments on any issues that have been forwarded to an outside agency"; and
- "Stay current and provide training to varied groups of stakeholders on regulations related to student rights (e.g., Title IX, ADA, etc.). Establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements."
The qualifications have been increased and now require Ombuds experience. Applicants must have a terminal degree, conflict resolution experience, and at least ten years of higher education Ombuds experience. The top-end of the salary range has been increased and the posting now indicates that the position will pay $75,400 to $110,000. No application date indicated. (AUI Careers.)

Appreciate the flag that this position does not comply with IOA standards. It's concerning that an ombuds position would include investigative and formal resolution duties.
