McGill University Announces Next Ombuds

Liman Jao has been appointed the Ombudsperson for Students at the public university. In this part-time position, she will work closely with the Assistant to the Ombuds, Carmela Parzanese, and serve over 40,000 students. Jao takes on the role in addition to her continued work as Associate Professor in Department of Integrated Studies in Education.

Jao has worked at McGill for for nearly 12 years. She graduated from Queen's University and her MA and PhD at the University of Toronto. She is also an official with Skate Canada. (McGill SMERG News.)
