Job Posting: Stony Brook University

Stony Brook's health science and medical campus is seeking its first dedicated Ombudsman. The new position will supplement the work of Donna Buehler, who has served as the inaugural University Ombuds since 2014. The full-time Ombuds will practice to IOA standards and provide services to all stakeholders of Stony Brook Medicine. 

Applicants must have a Master’s degree and have at least three years of experience, including supervisory experience. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with higher education, dispute resolution experience, training design, data management, and budget oversight. The salary range is $120,000–$140,000 plus $4,000 annual location pay. Applications are due by December 16, 2025. (Stony Brook Careers.)
