Next week, Wade C. Jacobsen will become the next Graduate Student Ombuds for the University of Maryland, College Park, the state's flagship public university. He follows Mark Sayman in the role and joins three other Ombuds who serve the campus: Faculty Ombuds, Karen M. O'Brien; Staff Ombuds, Mashanda Mosley; and Undergraduate Students Ombuds, Lisa Kiely.
Jacobsen is an Associate Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice and has been a faculty member since 2017. In addition, he is Director of Graduate Studies for the department. He earned his BS and MS at Brigham Young University and PhD at Pennsylvania State University. (UMD Today.)
