Job Re-Posting: University of Iowa

The public research university in Iowa City has again reopened its search for an Assistant Ombuds. (This is the third posting.) Qualifications for the position have not changed. The part-time position will serve faculty, staff and students, including all of UI Healthcare. The Assistant Ombuds will report to University Ombudsperson, Chanelle Reese, and join an office that includes Assistant Ombuds, Corey P. Pass, and Faculty Ombuds, Meenakshi Gigi Durham.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of conflict management experience. Preferred qualifications include: a Master’s degree; Ombuds, mediation, facilitation, or conflict coaching training; and Ombuds office experience. There is no closing date (unlike the prior 14-day posting) and there is no compensation indicated (the prior posting stated an FTE range of $42,392 to $81,125 per year). (UIowa Posting.)
