Registration Opens for Inaugural Mid-Atlantic Ombuds Network Annual Event

Registration is now open for the in-person annual event of the Mid-Atlantic Ombuds Network (MAON). After meeting virtually for several years, the regional group will convene Ombuds and other conflict resolution practitioners in Washington, DC, on October 15, 2026. Registration is $115.06 and includes breakfast, lunch, and a full day of educational programming, networking, and collaborative discussions. 

The agenda features a keynote learning session by Brenda Waugh, "Restorative Justice in Practice: For Our Visitors and Ourselves"; a hands-on workshop, "Prompt to Product: AI for Ombuds Outreach," focused on using generative AI to develop communications materials; and "Letting Go of the Script: Improv Coaching for Ombuds," an interactive session exploring how improvisational techniques can strengthen Ombuds coaching. The day begins with a networking breakfast and concludes with a closing session at 4:30 p.m. Registration closes September 15, 2026. (Eventbrite.)
