University of Calgary Names Student Ombuds

Yan Zhang has been appointed Student Ombuds for the University of Calgary, the public research university in Alberta. Zhang will serve as a resource for more than 36,000 students and succeeds Karen Quinn, who served as Interim Student Ombuds for less than one year. 

Zhang joins the Ombuds Office after serving as a Graduate Academic and International Specialist at the University of Calgary. She has worked within the university community in a variety student support roles. She earned a PhD in Education from the University of Calgary. (LinkedIn.)
