Herrera comes to UCSF from the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution in Washington, DC, where he served as Programs Director. Previously, he was Assistant Director of Programs–Mediation Services at the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago, leading mediation programs. He also teaches and mentors students in Roosevelt University's Master's in Conflict and Mediation program. Herrera earned a Bachelors degree in Communication from Boston University and a Masters degree in Conflict Resolution from George Mason University's Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution.
