Ombuds Training Comes to Indianapolis, July 2011

IOA will offer three professional development opportunities at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis on July 11-14, 2011.  Programs to be offered are:

• Ombudsman 101 (July 11-13) -- This 2½-day course covers the fundamentals of the organizational Ombudsman role. It provides basic information and training for the organizational Ombudsman by emphasizing the principles of confidentiality, neutrality, independence, and informality.
• Ombudsman 101 Plus (July 13) -- This half-day course will concentrate on how to communicate the value and benefits of an Ombudsman function internally to management who are considering starting an Ombudsman Office, and from the outside if you are an entrepreneur.
• Conflict Coaching (July 14) -- Details about this specialized course will be posted shortly.
