The professional organization for philosophers in the U.S. has appointed Adam Omar Hosein as its next Ombudsperson. He takes over from Laurie Shrage, who just completed a three-year term (and who also established the position in 2008). The APA Ombudsperson serves as a resource for discrimination complaints from the association's 9,500 members.
Hoseil is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Northeastern University. He has also taught at the University of Colorado, Boulder, the University of Chicago Law School, Harvard University, the University of Toronto, and the Université catholique de Louvain. He graduated from Merton College, Oxford and earned his PhD at MIT. (Daily Nous; Adam Housein Weebly.)
