Job Posting: UN Funds and Programmes, Thailand

The United Nations' global development network has opened a search for an Ombudsman Specialist based in Bangkok. The position reports to the Office of the Ombudsman for UN Funds and Programmes and provides conflict managment services to staff members and non-staff personnel of the UN Funds and Programmes (including UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNOPS and UN Women). Frequenttravel to field offices in Asia is required. The appointment is for one year and may be extended.
Applicants must have Master’s degree in alternative dispute resolution or law (Master’s degrees in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Counselling and other social sciences may be considered); Seven years of relevant professional experience, including three years at the international level in ADR and three years in an Ombuds office of an international organization (comparable work experience as a mediator may be considered); and fluency in English (knowledge of French, Chinese or another Asian language is a strong asset).
