Job Posting: Dalhousie University

The public university in Halifax has reopened its search for an Ombudsperson. (Although there were multiple applicants when the position was posted in June, the university described it a "failed search.") The full-time position will report to the Provost and serve a student population of 20,000. The office now has been vacant nearly three years since the departure of Diane Hawco in late 2018.

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in a related field with at least five years experience in a post-secondary or public sector environment preferably in an Ombudsperson role (or equivalent combination of training and experience). A legal background is preferred. The position pays $69,657- $94,244 and applications are due July 30, 2021. (Dalhousie Jobs.)
