Job Posting: UN World Food Programme, Italy

The food assistance branch of the United Nations is hiring a full-time Ombuds Officer based in Rome. The position, part of the UN Office of the Ombudsman and Mediation Services, reports to the Ombudsman and Director, Gabrielle Kluck. Frequent travel to WFP country and field offices is required. 

Applicants must have: an advanced University degree with additional ADR training; at least eight years of professional experience (of which ideally, two years of relevant UN experience and six years in the field of international development, civil affairs, ethics, Ombuds, staff relations management, training or coaching); and fluency in English language and intermediate knowledge of a second UN language, especially AFP's working language Portuguese.
