Rothwangl has worked in the Austrian Student Ombudsman Office since 2016. Before that, she was an attorney with the Higher Regional Court of Vienna. She graduated from a graduate of Vienna University Law School. Rothwangl has also been a regular presenter at recent ENOHE conferences.
