IOA Elects 2022 Board Officers

At its annual business meeting last week, the International Ombuds Association Board of Directors elected officers for 2022-2023. Two of the officers are new to the board, three of the officers ending their terms are off the board, and two officer positions are vacant. As a result, only two of six officers have prior Board leadership experience.

Here are the new officers:

• President — Ronnie Thomson, Sandia National Laboratories [previously was Board Secretary]

• President-Elect — Alicia Booker, University of Alabama at Birmingham [new to Board]

• Treasurer — Lee Twyman, Retired [returning for regular second term as Treasurer]

• Secretary — Amanda Dean, Austin Community College [new to Board]

• Past President — [vacant after departure of most recent President, Melanie Jagneaux]

Revised 4/20/22: The Assistant Treasurer position, which was listed as vacant, has instead been discontinued.
