Alice L. Walton School of Medicine Selects First Ombuds

AWSOM, the five-year-old, private, allopathic medical school in Bentonville, Arkansas, has appointed Kami Gollhofer as its first Ombuds. In this new, part-time role, she will serve a growing student body of almost 400 students and report to the Associate Dean of Student Affairs.

Gollhofer joins the medical school with experience in higher education administration and student support. She continues as a Senior Manager in HR for Walmart (which is also headquartered in Bentonville). In addition, she previously served in roles at Missouri State University, where she worked with students and faculty on academic and institutional processes. Gollhofer graduated from Southwest Baptist University, and earned a MS at Missouri State University and DHPE at Logan University. (LinkedIn.)
