Maybe AI Chatbots Won't Replace Ombuds: Part 2

Evidence continues to emerge that indicates artificial intelligence is unlikely to replace Ombuds, at least in the short term:

  • Despite millions spent on campus AI chatbots, testing found they often give incomplete or incorrect answers to student questions—highlighting the continuing need for knowledgeable human advisors when issues become complex or sensitive. (CalMatters.)
  • When it comes to financial advice, research shows AI chatbots are "the digital equivalent of sociopaths—smooth, persuasive and devoid of empathy," reinforcing the continued need for accountable human judgment in complex decision-making. (WSJ.)
  • A union at UC Berkely alleges the campus chatbot provided inaccurate information about union rights and dues—illustrating how AI tools can mislead users on complex or sensitive issues that normally require informed human judgment. (Daily Californian.)

AI bots are digital sociopaths/psychopaths not just when it comes to "financial advice" but any politics-driven topic, which are many, giving the ever foolish public the BIASED version of disinfo that aligns with the interests and agendas of the global ruling pack of psychopaths (https://www.rolf-hefti.com/covid-19-coronavirus.html).

“Who masters those technologies [=artificial intelligence (AI), chatbots, and digital identities] —in some way— will be the master of the world.” --- Klaus Schwab, at the World Government Summit in Dubai, 2023

"AI responds according to the “rules” created by the programmers who are in turn owned by the people who pay their salaries. This is precisely why Globalists want an AI controlled society- rules for serfs, exceptions for the aristocracy." ---Unknown

  3. Chatbots are also notorious for providing overly complimentary and user-justifying responses. I had an interesting case where two participants in conflict both brought me their chats where chatGPT had told them, respectively, that they were in the right in the disagreement and the other person was wrong.

  4. University administrators do a good enough job replacing ombuds.
