Society for Research in Child Development Renews with MWI for Ombuds Services

SRCD has again retained MWI to provide Conference Ombuds services for its 2027 Biennial Meeting, which will take place April 8–10, 2027, in Atlanta, Georgia. The large, international conference is expected to draw more than 6,500 attendees from research, practice, and policy communities.

Jai Calloway will return as Conference Ombuds, bringing prior experience from SRCD’s 2025 meeting. In addition to her work with other MWI clients, she is the inaugural Ombuds for Harris Health System. (SRCD 2027 Ombuds.)

Organizational Ombuds

Organizational Ombuds serve as a confidential, independent, neutral and informal dispute resolution resource for a specific entity. They are accessible to a defined population and can advocate for fairness. These unique characteristics distinguish Organizational Ombuds from Classical Ombuds, mediators, arbitrators, and other alternative dispute resolution professionals.
