University of Oregon Ombuds Annual Report: Cases Nearly Doubled

In an report covering the 2017-18 academic year, UO Ombudsperson Brett Harris says that her office managed 399 cases covering 1,092 total concerns and worked directly with more than 1000 members of the university community in dispute resolution processes. 

The Ombuds Program also participated in dozens of training sessions, outreach efforts, and served as a neutral observer for campus meetings. Most significantly, there was a 97% increase in visitors from the prior year. (UO Ombuds 2018 Report.)
