DePaul University will be hosting the 2019 Summer Academic Ombuds meeting in Chicago on June 24-25. As in years past, the "New Academic Ombuds Workshop" will be offered on the first part of the day on June 24. The planning committee is still seeking presenters and organizers would like an idea of how many people will be attending.
Interested speakers (individually or with others) should send a short abstract to the planning committee via Craig Mousin (cmousin [at] depaul.edu). They will also answer questions and help develop session ideas.
If you believe you will be attending, please let Maribeth Conley (mconley2 [at] depaul.edu) know if you would like to reserve rooms for you. This is a non-binding response but will help negotiations for a guest rate at a local hotel.
In addition to the Summer Academic Ombuds Meeting, attendees are also encouraged to visit Chicago for a few days to enjoy theater, lakefront activities, Millenium Park and Navy Pier. Cirque du Soleil Volta will be in town until June 23. And, the Cubs will play the Mets from June 20-22 and the Braves from June 23-27.
