Confederation College Names Next Ombuds

The college of applied arts and technology in Thunder Bay, Ontario has selected Paul Straiton as its next Ombudsperson. He succeeds Kim Morgan, who established the program in 2008 and retired in January 2020.

Straiton is a local attorney with a long connection to Confederation.He completed the Aviation (Flight) Management Program at the college and later returned as a part-time instructor in the Aboriginal Law and Advocacy Program and the Human Resources Program. Straiton graduated from Lakehead University and earned his law degree at Queen's University. Straiton was a French immersion student and speaks French as a second language.
