IOA Honors Janet Hill as Distinguished Emeritus

Last night, the International Ombudsman Association bestowed its Distinguished Emeritus status on Janet Hill for her career of leadership and service. Hill retired in 2018 after serving as Ombudsman and Manager of the Dispute Resolution Program at KBR, Inc. Previously, she was the Ombudsman at Halliburton. 

The award recognizes Hill for years of volunteering for IOA including serving as Board Treasurer and on committees including Finance and Nominations & Governance Committee, work for IOA's predecessor, The Ombudsman Association. The Distinguished Emeritus award was not given in 2019.

It was an honor to Chair the IOA nominations process this year and many thanks go to Dave Carver, Bruce MacAllister and Kerry Egdorf for their hard work on the Nominations and Governance Committee. Julia Heck and the Volunteer Committee team also deserve kudos for making this celebration a great success.
