American Society for Aesthetics Opens Internal Search for Ombuds
Two years ago, the philosophical organization selected long-time member and Chartered Mediator, Jeanette Bicknell, to serve as its first Ombudsperson. The ASA Ombuds is the primary resource and point of contact for members with concerns about discrimination, including sexual harassment. Bicknell's first term is coming to an end and ASA has opened nominations for the position. Bicknell is, however, eligible for a second term.
The ASA Ombuds is a volunteer position. If the person attends any of the five ASA annual meetings, reasonable travel costs are provided. Nominations are due by October 15, 2020. (ASA News.)
