Appalachian State University Taps Insider for Ombuds Role

On September 15, 2020, Tandrea Carter was appointed as the University Ombuds for public university in Boone, North Carolina. She succeeds Professor Bob Hill. Carter is a trained mediator and clinical psychologist who has worked at Appalachian State in a variety of roles for the past decade. She is the Director of Counseling for Faculty and Staff and also lectures in the Department of Psychology. As the Ombuds, she serves over 25,000 faculty, staff, and students. 

Carter graduated from Columbia University and earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Miami. (App State News.)
