Rodney McBride has been hired as the WHO Regional Ombudsman based in Manila. He will serve an initial two-year term reporting to the WHO Ombudsman, who will be appointed in the next few months. McBride comes to the position from the UN Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome, where he was a Staff Counsellor for the past four years.
McBride brings significant counseling and Ombuds experience in international organizations. In addition to the FAO, he has been a counselor with the Australian Agency for International Development and the World Food Program. He has been a Conflict Resolution Officer with the Office of the UN Ombudsman and a Workplace Facilitator (Organizational Ombuds) with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.
