Haro Reyes, who previously coordinated RIdDU, said UdeG plans to share its experience in areas including university codes of ethics, peace-building policies, and protocols for addressing gender-based violence. University of Guadalajara Ombuds Assumes RIdDU Presidency
Dante Jaime Haro Reyes, University Ombuds (Defensor de los Derechos Universitarios) at Universidad de Guadalajara, has assumed the presidency of the Ibero-American Network of University Ombuds (Red Iberoamericana de Defensorías Universitarias, RIdDU) for a two-year term. The network includes more than 100 universities in Latin America, Spain, and Portugal and promotes the exchange of experiences and practices among university Ombuds offices. The appointment marks the first time a Mexican university has held the network’s presidency.
